Winter Gems and Hopeful Spring Harbingers: Hellebores, Hyacinths, and Daffodils,

Each Monday, Cathy from Rambling in the Garden, invites us to share an arrangement fashioned from what we can find in our own gardens.

It is a typical spring day in Ohio. We have had big swings in temperatures throughout the month. It's been a very cold and long winter. It was a very wet day yesterday. I had to put on my muck boots to do my inspections of what didn't get washed away or drowned. I always get so worried that my peonies will suffer in this heavy clay under the seemingly relentless downpours that has created such a soggy mess.

. . . we have to enjoy what early treasures we get!

I see red tufts of dicentras that await for their time to shine before the other spring bulbs and blooms stop us in our tracks to take in their fleeting beauty. Not much is in bloom here on the property. This is a simple arrangement from flowers that were brave enough to emerge and shine on this cold and blustery day. Until next time, we have to enjoy what early treasures we get!
